John Bolderson, Owner and President of Platinum Home Inspections, LLC, is a trusted Florida-licensed home inspector with deep roots in the community. A proud Lake County resident for over 10 years, John moved to Clermont with his family after being raised in South Florida. Originally from Newport, RI, his lifelong love for the water is reflected in his favorite pastimes—surfing, snorkeling, swimming, sailing, and offshore fishing.

John quickly fell in love with Clermont’s charm and community spirit, making it the perfect place to raise his family. His wife, Kim, works in the property title industry, and their two children—Madison, a Florida State University freshman, and Cole, a middle school honor student—share their parents’ dedication to hard work and family values.

As a certified home inspector in Clermont, Lake County, and the Orlando area, John brings years of experience, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to helping homebuyers and sellers make confident real estate decisions. Founded during the Covid-19 pandemic by Florida-licensed home inspector John Bolderson, Platinum Home Inspections, LLC was built on quality, integrity, and exceptional customer service. After 11 years in Central Florida’s steel fabrication industry, John left the corporate world to follow his dream of owning a business that helps homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals make confident decisions.

Since then, Platinum Home Inspections has grown rapidly, earning a strong reputation for thorough inspections and going the extra mile for every client across Clermont, Lake County, and the greater Orlando area.

A 13-year Lake County resident, John grew up in South Florida and was born in Newport, RI. He enjoys Florida’s coastal lifestyle—surfing, snorkeling, sailing, and offshore fishing—and has made Clermont home with his wife, Kim, and their two children, Madison and Cole.
